Breaking News:Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi…read more

Legendary Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi recently shed light on a period of the band’s history that he believes was unfairly ignored. While the group is best known for its groundbreaking albums with Ozzy Osbourne and later success with Ronnie James Dio, Iommi pointed out that certain eras of the band have not received the recognition they deserve.

In a recent interview, Iommi expressed frustration over how some of Black Sabbath’s later albums have been overshadowed by their early work. “There are some great records that just didn’t get the same attention,” he said, referring to albums released after the departure of Osbourne and Dio. These include projects featuring vocalists like Tony Martin, Glenn Hughes, and Ian Gillan, which, despite strong musicianship, were often overlooked by fans and critics.

Iommi emphasized that each era of Black Sabbath had something unique to offer. He praised the musicians who contributed to the band’s evolving sound and suggested that these albums deserve a fresh look. “People tend to focus on the early days, but there’s a lot of great material beyond that,” he added.

While Black Sabbath’s legacy remains strong, Iommi hopes that fans will revisit the lesser-known chapters of the band’s history. With the continued interest in classic rock and metal, there is a chance that these overlooked albums will finally get the recognition he believes they deserve.
