FIA Delivers Verdict on Red Bull Racing Star After Miami GP Clash

In a dramatic twist at the Miami Grand Prix, the FIA has handed down an official penalty to Red Bull Racing’s star driver following a controversial late-race incident that has sparked widespread debate among fans and paddock insiders.

The clash, which unfolded during a tense on-track battle in the final laps, resulted in contact between the Red Bull driver and a close championship rival. After a thorough post-race investigation, the FIA stewards determined that the Red Bull driver was responsible for avoidable contact. As a result, he has been given a five-second time penalty and two penalty points on his super license.

Originally finishing second, the penalty demotes the Red Bull driver to fifth place significantly impacting both his championship tally and Red Bull’s constructors’ standings.

Red Bull Racing has responded with visible frustration. In an official team statement, they announced intentions to review the ruling and consider a formal appeal. Team principal Christian Horner weighed in: “We respect the FIA’s authority but feel the incident was a typical racing moment and the penalty is harsh.”

Rival teams have mostly backed the decision, with some calling it a necessary step to ensure consistent enforcement of racing regulations.

With tensions rising and the season gaining momentum, the spotlight now shifts to the next race as Red Bull and their driver seek redemption amid growing pressure in both championships battles.
