Is Bobby Miller Returning to the Dodgers After Being Scratched From His Triple-A Start?

After playing the Milwaukee Brewers for four games, the Los Angeles Dodgers will travel to St. Louis to play the Cardinals over the weekend. Tyler Glasnow was supposed to be deployed on Friday on four days of rest, but they moved him to Saturday and gave him an extra day off, so they will need a starter on Friday.

Bobby Miller is expected to make his Dodgers comeback for the first time since July 9th.

Miller was removed from the Triple-A Oklahoma City starting lineup that was set to begin play on Thursday. Instead, the Los Vegas Aviators and the top farm team of the Dodgers will play a bullpen game.

It’s unclear if Miller will pitch for the Dodgers this weekend, according to Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic. The Dodgers had not yet announced their starting pitcher for Friday’s game as of Thursday.

Miller is “physically fine,” but he hasn’t left Las Vegas yet, sources told Dodgers Nation. Regarding Oklahoma City’s starting on Friday, no official decision has been made either. Previously assigned to Justin Wrobleski, that assignment is currently marked as “TBA.”
