After agreeing on a fee with Leverkusen for Hlozek, the Foxes believed they had a deal almost finalised to strengthen Steve Cooper’s remaining third options.

 

Leicester made the attacker’s appointment for a medical examination and made a strong effort to complete the capture.

Hoffenheim entered the race somewhat late, but they were successful in trying to take advantage of Leicester’s move. Hlozek chose Hoffenheim over Leicester with the intention of staying in the Bundesliga.

 

Hoffenheim moved quickly, as Leicester waited for the player’s clearance to travel for a medical. The 22-year-old forward scored twice in 23 league games for Xabi Alonso’s team last season, mostly coming off the bench.

 

With seven goals in all competitions at the end of the season, Hlozek will now look to build on that while wearing the Hoffenheim uniform.
