West Ham was defeated 1-0 by Everton in the Premier League.

The Everton center defense tandem was praised by Sean Dyche after the team defeated West Ham United.

With their 1-0 victory at the London Stadium, the Toffees have now won three of their last four away games. To give the visitors all three points, Dominic Calvert-Lewin scored in the 61st minute for his 50th Premier League goal.

In the final moments, Jordan Pickford stood firm in goal to deny the Hammers an equalizer even though Everton was under siege. Additionally, Dyche told the BBC that he thought Jarrad Branthwaite and James Tarkowksi, the defensive duo, gave “immense” performances.

The Blues’ manager stated: “We know that Dom is sharp, and he’s getting fitter and sharper. I believe he has spent the entire day working with Ducs [Abdoulaye Doucoure], doing a lot of the team’s legwork.” Ducs kind of controls it and it just kind of gets away from him, but it’s a terrific turn and finish, in my opinion. It’s so tough for defenders to pivot and hit such snapshots, as I refer to them, so excellent finish.”

As the game went on, West Ham had a few opportunities, but Jordan Pickford made some fantastic saves in the first half and a few more that you would have thought he would make in the second. I felt the two center halves were enormous, and we did our best to keep them under control. Tarky [James Tarkowski] is undoubtedly a little more rounded than Jarrad [Branthwaite], but both players were outstanding today, especially the keeper who was behind them in the second half.
