Boxing legend Mike Tyson had a humorous reaction when asked about the breakup of Tommy Fury and Molly Mae Hague.
The couple recently confirmed their split following months of rumours.
During the lead-up to his fight with Jake Paul, Tyson appeared on Logan Paul’s Impulsive podcast, where he was asked for his thoughts on the Love Island duo calling it quits.
When Paul and co-host Mike Majlak explained who Molly Mae Hague was, Tyson, clearly puzzled, exclaimed, “Who the f*** is Molly?” His bewildered response had the entire set laughing. Tyson then joked, “I’m thinking about getting high,” adding, “I’m in the drug phase of my life,” as the laughter continued.
Initially, Mike Tyson hilariously mistook the mention of Molly Mae Hague as a reference to Tyson Fury struggling with MDMA. “I look at Molly— that’s a narcotic,” Tyson said before co-host Mike Majlak clarified the situation, explaining the significance of the Love Island couple’s breakup. However, Tyson humorously continued, thinking Fury was dealing with drug issues. “No one knows the pain of the heavyweight champion when he’s alone. I saw him falling on the street,” he remarked, adding a touch of drama. Once Paul and Majlak stopped him to clear the confusion, Tyson jokingly showed his frustration over the mix-up.
“They met on Love Island, were together for five years, and had a kid,” Paul explained.
Tyson, still bewildered, responded, “Are you serious? Stop f****** with me, man.”
Paul, sarcastically adding to the confusion, said, “No, it’s sad; we’re all very sad.”
Tyson was originally set to fight Jake Paul in July, but he had to withdraw due to serious health issues. The fight has been rescheduled for November 15 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, and will be the first live boxing event streamed globally on Netflix.
