New Daniel Ricciardo details emerge as decline theory drops – round-up

Ahead of the United States Grand Prix, several key developments in the F1 world have surfaced. Three teams—Alpine, Haas, and McLaren—unveiled unique liveries for the race in Austin.

Jenson Button, the 2009 World Champion, shared his thoughts on Daniel Ricciardo’s recent career changes. According to Button, Ricciardo has come to terms with Red Bull’s decision to remove him from the VCARB cockpit for the rest of the season. Button expressed discomfort with Red Bull’s mid-season driver changes, believing drivers deserve a full season to prove themselves. He also praised Ricciardo’s personality, suggesting he has many future career paths, whether in racing, TV, or other ventures.

Former F1 driver Anthony Davidson shared his theory about Ricciardo’s departure, noting that the current generation of F1 cars doesn’t provide the same driving experience as older models, which might explain Ricciardo’s challenges. Davidson also mentioned that veteran drivers like Fernando Alonso and Lewis Hamilton likely face similar difficulties, as they’ve driven better cars in the past.

Liam Lawson, who will take Ricciardo’s place at VCARB, is preparing for a challenging six-race stint to finish the season.
