Major Hamilton STRUGGLES predicted at Ferrari as shock verdict emerges

Lewis Hamilton’s upcoming move to Ferrari in 2025 is sparking intense debate, with doubts emerging about whether the seven-time world champion can thrive with the iconic Italian team.

The move, seen by many as a fairytale chapter in Hamilton’s storied career, will mark the end of his long and successful stint with Mercedes, where he secured six of his seven titles.

Hamilton’s first championship in 2008 also came with Mercedes-powered McLaren.

At Ferrari, Hamilton will partner with Charles Leclerc, a Monegasque driver seen as the team’s future. Leclerc has been part of the Ferrari fold since 2016 and has raced for their F1 team since 2019.

His strong bond with the team and fanbase, coupled with his potential to become a world champion, raises questions about how Ferrari will manage its two star drivers.

Former Formula 1 boss Bernie Ecclestone has cast doubt on Hamilton’s prospects at Ferrari.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, Ecclestone predicted Hamilton would struggle to claim an eighth world championship with the team, citing Ferrari’s likely preference for Leclerc.

“They will back Charles Leclerc. He’s quick and has grown up there. They won’t dump him for anyone,” Ecclestone remarked.

This predicted favoritism for Leclerc highlights Ferrari’s focus on their long-term strategy, making Hamilton’s challenge of dethroning reigning champion Max Verstappen and breaking Michael Schumacher’s record of seven titles seem even more daunting.

Despite his skepticism about Hamilton’s success at Ferrari, Ecclestone acknowledged that the Briton’s decision to leave Mercedes might make sense.

According to him, the relationship between Hamilton and Mercedes had seemingly run its course. “Either he’s given up with them, or they have given up on him.

They wouldn’t do much to keep him, so he is better off going,” Ecclestone added.

Mercedes has struggled in recent years, falling far behind Ferrari in the constructors’ standings by 175 points.

Hamilton’s switch to Ferrari represents a bold gamble to reignite his career and take on Verstappen’s dominance.

As Hamilton prepares to don the iconic red overalls, questions remain about whether Ferrari’s structure and dynamics will allow him to reach the pinnacle of Formula 1 again, or if the Scuderia’s loyalty to Leclerc will hinder his ambitions.
