A Dallas Cowboys stadium employee is charged with stealing money to admit customers without tickets.

After accepting financial bribes to admit supporters without tickets to Sunday’s home game against the rival Philadelphia Eagles, a Dallas Cowboys employee has been placed under arrest, according to the police.

ESPN reports that 93,752 people attended the Sunday Night Football game at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas; however, local authorities assert that the number could have been higher due to unauthorized entry.

Diego Soto, 19, was taken into custody on Sunday and is facing charges related to commercial bribery, as per the jail records of the Arlington Police Department. Tarrant County records show that he was given a $1,500 bond.

It is alleged that Mr. Soto, who was manning the entry gate and scanning tickets following the security screening, admitted individuals without tickets in return for payment.

That charge was presented to an APD economic crimes detective stationed at the stadium by an anonymous tipster. Mr. Soto acknowledged taking the money after being questioned, a police official told the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.

What the bribe that Mr. Soto is allegedly getting has not been disclosed by the police.

Due to tiebreakers, the Cowboys’ 10-3 record overshadowed the Eagles’ equal record, and they went on to win the game on Sunday 33-13 and take the lead in the NFC East division. The Eagles won 28-23 in Philadelphia last month to win the two teams’ first meeting of the season.
