Ricciardo F1 return update emerges as NEW team offer teased
Daniel Ricciardo’s future in motorsport remains uncertain following his recent Formula 1 struggles.
The 35-year-old returned to the grid midway through the 2023 season, replacing Nyck de Vries at AlphaTauri (now VCARB) after being dropped by McLaren in 2022.
However, Ricciardo failed to outperform teammate Yuki Tsunoda during the 2024 season, with Tsunoda securing most of the team’s points.
Ricciardo’s performance hit a low at the Singapore Grand Prix, leading to his replacement by Red Bull junior Liam Lawson.
With no seat available for the 2025 F1 season, Ricciardo’s career in the sport appears to be nearing its end.
Despite this, the announcement of Cadillac entering Formula 1 as an 11th team in 2026 has sparked speculation about his potential return.
German publication Bild claimed that Ricciardo is Cadillac’s preferred choice for their debut season.
However, a conflicting report from ESPN states that Ricciardo has not been approached by the team and is not interested in joining.
As his F1 prospects dwindle, Ricciardo is rumored to be considering a switch to other racing series, such as NASCAR or the Australian Supercars Championship.
Beyond racing, he has been keeping busy with various personal projects, including launching products from his clothing brand, Enchante, and making public appearances, such as a visit to the Buffalo Bills.
While Ricciardo’s future remains unclear, his fans continue to hope for his return to the pinnacle of motorsport.
For now, he appears focused on life outside of F1, enjoying new opportunities and ventures beyond the racing circuit.
