Ricciardo tipped for ‘DREAM’ F1 return
Daniel Ricciardo is being tipped for a potential return to Formula 1, just months after his departure from the sport.
The Australian was dropped by VCARB in September, ending his tenure with the team after only a year.
Ricciardo had joined VCARB following a brief break, hoping to impress and secure a spot with Red Bull, where he had previously enjoyed a successful five-year stint.
However, he struggled to recapture the form that once made him a standout on the F1 grid.
His place at Red Bull was ultimately taken by Liam Lawson, who impressed during six outings late last season.
Red Bull boss Christian Horner recently confirmed that the 22-year-old Kiwi would replace Sergio Perez in 2025.
Since leaving F1, Ricciardo, now 35, has remained tight-lipped about his future, focusing instead on life outside racing.
While he has received offers to compete in other motorsport series worldwide, he has yet to reveal his next move.
Former F1 mechanic and broadcaster Marc “Elvis” Priestley believes Ricciardo would be a perfect fit as a pundit, given his engaging personality and media appeal.
Speaking to Casino Uden Rofus, Priestley said, “Ricciardo is a media dream, but it’s unclear what he’ll choose to do next.
Many drivers take time away from the sport to reconnect with family and friends before deciding whether to return.”
Priestley emphasized that Ricciardo now has the freedom to chart his own path after years in a tightly controlled environment.
“It must be a nice feeling for him to have that freedom.Whatever he decides, he’ll choose what suits him best,” he concluded.
For now, Ricciardo’s future remains uncertain, but his potential return—whether as a racer or a pundit—continues to spark speculation.
