Hadjar, a promising young talent, will partner with Yuki Tsunoda at VCARB in the 2025 season, marking Tsunoda’s fifth full year with the team’s junior program.
Tsunoda has shown significant potential, outperforming several teammates like Nyck de Vries, Daniel Ricciardo, and Lawson in recent seasons at VCARB. Despite this, Tsunoda has not secured a permanent spot with Red Bull Racing. Many had hoped that his impressive form would earn him a promotion to the senior team, potentially alongside Max Verstappen. Horner explained that it would no longer make sense for Tsunoda to remain in the VCARB setup after spending five years in a supporting role. He added that Red Bull would either need to offer him a seat with the senior team or let him go to explore other opportunities. “You can’t have a driver in the support team for five years. You can’t always be the bridesmaid,” Horner stated, hinting that Tsunoda’s future at Red Bull is dependent on whether he gets a chance in the senior team soon.
