Verstappen Dominates in Japan, Teases Norris After…read more.

Max Verstappen claimed a commanding victory at the Japanese Grand Prix, extending his championship lead with yet another flawless performance. The Red Bull driver looked untouchable throughout the weekend at Suzuka, securing pole position and leading nearly every lap of the race.

Following his win, Verstappen couldn’t resist taking a cheeky swipe at his friend and rival Lando Norris. When asked about the race and his competitors, Verstappen jokingly remarked, “Lando kept me honest out there—for about two laps,” prompting laughter from the press room. The Dutchman, known for his dry sense of humor, made it clear it was all in good fun.

Norris, who finished third behind Verstappen and Sergio Pérez, took the comment in stride. “Classic Max,” Norris said with a grin. “He drove a great race, so he can have his moment. I’ll get him back—on and off the track.”

The light-hearted exchange comes amid growing competitiveness between the two drivers. While Verstappen has dominated much of the season, Norris and McLaren have shown significant improvements, narrowing the gap to Red Bull in recent races.

Verstappen’s victory marks his fifth win of the 2025 season and strengthens his bid for a fourth consecutive world title. Despite the playful rivalry, both drivers emphasized mutual respect and a shared desire to keep pushing the limits.

With the next round set for China, fans are eagerly awaiting another chapter in what’s becoming a thrilling battle between two of F1’s brightest stars.
