Schumacher gives Max Verstappen Red Bull exit d…..read more

Former Formula 1 driver Ralf Schumacher has suggested that Max Verstappen might decide on his Red Bull future before the conclusion of the 2025 season. The three-time world champion has faced a challenging start to his title defense, managing only one victory so far, which came at the Japanese Grand Prix. With four races already completed this season, Verstappen’s performance has not lived up to the high standards he set in previous years.

The most recent race in Bahrain highlighted the Dutchman’s current struggles. He experienced difficulties throughout the weekend, particularly in qualifying, and ultimately finished the race in sixth place. His frustration with the situation has been increasingly evident. Verstappen has not hesitated to voice his concerns publicly, adding to the growing uncertainty around his position at Red Bull Racing.

Even though Verstappen is contractually bound to Red Bull until the end of the 2028 season, rumors continue to swirl regarding his potential departure. Reports suggest that the reigning champion is seriously evaluating his long-term commitment to the team. These concerns were further validated when Red Bull advisor Helmut Marko openly acknowledged that Verstappen’s uncertain stance is a significant source of worry for the team.

Ralf Schumacher believes the situation may come to a head sooner than expected. According to the former Williams and Toyota driver, Verstappen could well make a final decision about whether to remain with Red Bull before the season concludes. Schumacher hinted that ongoing issues behind the scenes, including internal tensions and dissatisfaction with the team’s performance trajectory, could be influencing Verstappen’s thinking.

The speculation surrounding Verstappen’s future has only intensified in light of the recent off-track controversies involving Red Bull, as well as the team’s underwhelming on-track results. While they remain a top contender, the dominance they enjoyed in previous seasons seems to have waned, possibly opening the door for other teams to entice the Dutch driver away.

For now, all eyes remain on Verstappen and how he navigates the remainder of the 2025 season. His next moves will be closely watched, not only by Red Bull but also by rival teams who would undoubtedly jump at the chance to secure the services of one of the most talented drivers on the grid. Whether he stays or decides to move on, the coming months could prove pivotal in shaping both his career and the future of Red Bull Racing.
