Hamilton’s Struggles Persist in Jeddah as Qualifying Woes continue
Lewis Hamilton’s challenges in Jeddah intensified during the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix qualifying session, where the seven-time world champion faced another disappointing performance.
Hamilton managed to advance to Q3 but could only secure the eighth-fastest qualifying time, which became seventh on the grid due to Charles Leclerc’s engine penalty.
Expressing his frustration, Hamilton stated, “I just don’t feel connected to this car and I can’t get it, so I don’t really know what I’m going to do about that.”
Meanwhile, Mercedes teammate George Russell showcased a stronger performance, qualifying fourth, which became third after Leclerc’s penalty.
The qualifying session was also marked by a significant incident involving Mick Schumacher, who suffered a high-speed crash at Turn 12. The session was red-flagged, and Schumacher was taken to the hospital for precautionary checks.
As the race approaches, Hamilton aims to overcome these challenges and deliver a strong performance despite the setbacks faced during qualifying.
