Lewis Hamilton Shares Heartwarming Update on Future F1 Career Path

Lewis Hamilton has shared an uplifting update about his efforts to support the next generation of motorsport talent through his Mission 44 foundation.

The seven-time Formula 1 world champion, known for his advocacy beyond the racetrack, launched Mission 44 in 2021 to address the lack of diversity in motorsport and STEM education. One of the foundation’s key initiatives, the Motorsport Scholarship Programme  created in partnership with the Royal Academy of Engineering  is already making a meaningful difference.

Hamilton recently spotlighted the journey of Amjad Saeed, a Motorsport Engineering student who’s been part of the scholarship for two years. In a LinkedIn post, Saeed shared how the programme has transformed his outlook and given him the belief that a career in F1 is within reach. “Thanks to the financial support and the experiences it provided, I’ve gained confidence, essential academic and personal skills, and crucial exposure to the F1 world,” he wrote.

Saeed’s story includes a memorable visit to the Mercedes F1 garage, where he engaged with senior team members and met Hamilton in person. “Being in that environment and speaking with experts gave me insight that no classroom could provide,” he added.

Hamilton shared a video of Saeed’s testimony, expressing how proud he is of the programme’s progress: “It’s incredible to see how much Amjad has grown through the scholarship. We started this initiative to open doors for students like him  and it’s amazing to already see the difference it’s making.”

While Hamilton continues to compete at the highest level of F1, this update shows he’s equally committed to building a legacy that extends far beyond the track.
