Red Bull Driver at Risk of Demotion as Tsunoda Decision Revealed

Tensions are rising within the Red Bull camp as reports suggest that one of their current drivers could be facing a shock demotion, with Yuki Tsunoda’s recent performances at the heart of the shake-up. The spotlight has now turned to Sergio Perez, who is reportedly under increasing pressure to retain his seat amid a resurgent run from Tsunoda in the sister AlphaTauri (now RB) team.

Tsunoda, currently delivering one of his most consistent seasons in Formula 1, has impressed both fans and insiders with his sharp racecraft and improved maturity on and off the track. Over the last few races, he has frequently outpaced teammate Daniel Ricciardo and even threatened the midfield hierarchy. His steady rise has caught the attention of Red Bull advisor Helmut Marko, who is known for making bold driver decisions.

In a recent interview, Marko hinted that no seat is guaranteed for 2025, stating, “We always look at performance, and Yuki is showing great improvement. Everything is open for next season.”

This comment has fueled speculation that Tsunoda could be promoted to the main Red Bull team, especially if Perez continues to struggle. While Perez started the season strongly, his inconsistency in qualifying and frequent race-day mistakes have raised concerns. With Red Bull eager to maintain dominance over rivals like Ferrari and McLaren, there is little room for underperformance.

Fans have been divided over the possibility of a mid-season shake-up, but many believe Tsunoda has earned his chance. Social media has been buzzing with debates, with some calling it “Tsunoda’s time to shine,” while others argue that more experience is needed before a top-tier seat.

The verdict on Tsunoda is clear: Red Bull sees real potential. Whether that results in a 2025 promotion or even an earlier switch remains to be seen, but the pressure is now firmly on Perez to prove his worth. As the season progresses, all eyes will be on Red Bull’s next move in what could be a dramatic driver reshuffle.
