McLaren CEO Zak Brown has dismissed recent rumors suggesting he’s planning to leave the team, despite ongoing friction with Red Bull Racing. The speculation comes as Brown continues to criticize Red Bull’s internal issues and leadership, following a string of key personnel changes within the rival team.

Brown recently described the atmosphere at Red Bull as “toxic,” especially after the departure of their long-serving technical chief Adrian Newey. He hinted that Newey’s exit might signal the beginning of more departures, suggesting that Red Bull could be facing deeper internal challenges.

Adding to the speculation, Brown claimed that McLaren has been receiving numerous job applications from Red Bull staff, pointing to unrest within the Milton Keynes-based team. “This may just be the beginning,” he noted, implying that further shifts could be on the horizon for the reigning champions.

Despite the off-track drama, McLaren has been enjoying a strong season on the grid. Under Brown’s leadership, the team recently celebrated a major win at the Australian Grand Prix, where Lando Norris took first place. The victory marks a significant step in McLaren’s journey back to the front of the Formula 1 pack.

Addressing the reports of his possible departure, Brown made his position clear: “I’m fully dedicated to McLaren and our goal of competing at the highest level in Formula 1. Our recent results show the team’s hard work is paying off.”

As tensions rise between McLaren and Red Bull, the rivalry continues to heat up not just in the races, but also behind the scenes.
