Lewis Hamilton Voices Frustration Ahead of Imola Grand Prix…read more.

Seven-time Formula 1 World Champion Lewis Hamilton has expressed frustration as pressure mounts ahead of the Imola Grand Prix this weekend. The British driver, who is now in his first season with Ferrari after a long career with Mercedes, admitted to growing concerns over the team’s performance and car development.

Speaking to reporters on Thursday, Hamilton revealed that he is “not where he wants to be” with the car setup and overall competitiveness. “We’ve made progress, but not at the pace I expected,” he said. “It’s frustrating because we’re pushing hard, but the results aren’t showing yet.”

Ferrari had high hopes for a strong showing at their home race in Imola, but recent practice sessions have shown that both Red Bull and McLaren still hold a performance edge. Hamilton, who has yet to secure a podium this season, emphasized the need for urgent improvements if the team wants to challenge for top positions.

“This is a special race for Ferrari, and everyone wants to deliver. But we have to be realistic,” Hamilton added. “Right now, we’re just not fast enough.”

Team Principal Frédéric Vasseur acknowledged the challenges but remained optimistic, noting that upgrades are coming in the next few races. “We’re working closely with Lewis and Charles to fine-tune the package. Imola will be tough, but we’re focused on long-term gains.”

With the pressure of performing on home soil and rising expectations from fans, all eyes will be on Hamilton and Ferrari at the iconic Imola circuit this Sunday.
