The Monaco Grand Prix introduced a mandatory two-stop rule requiring drivers to use three different tyre compounds, aiming to enhance overtaking opportunities on the notoriously tight circuit. However, the strategy backfired, with the top four drivers finishing in their starting positions and minimal on-track action observed.
