Chelsea announces the arrival of two goal scorers in January.
Chelsea has spent a lot during each of the last three transfer windows since the new owners took over the club, but they already have plans to spend much more during the upcoming window.
We have all observed that they have lacked an established goalscorer, which is exactly what the article’s title refers to.
And that is precisely what the club is planning to bring in this upcoming January, according to insider Ben Jacobs, who today wrote about it in his most recent exclusive and in-depth Chelsea piece for SPTC.
Jacobs cites two individuals who Chelsea are considering for the established striker position: Ivan Toney from Brentford and Victor Osimhen from Napoli. Of course, there will be more names that surface.
Jacobs worries that a mid-season transfer for Toney may be costly, at least in comparison to the £60 million he thinks clubs could receive for him in the summer.
According to Jacobs, Chelsea is currently beginning to make plans for a proven goal scorer. Ivan Toney is still conceivable. The cost will have a big impact. The asking price for Brentford would be roughly £60 million next summer, but a mid-season transfer could dramatically increase that total, particularly if numerous suitors approach.
