Verstappen’s Young Relatives Begin Racing Journey as Alonso Rivalry Jokes Emerge
Max Verstappen has long established himself as one of Formula 1’s modern greats. With 66 race wins, 119 podiums, and four world championships already secured, his record now also includes the fastest lap in F1 history, achieved at last weekend’s Italian Grand Prix. At just 27 years old, the Dutchman has already carved out a legacy that places him alongside the sport’s elite.
But now, the Verstappen name could be set to continue its racing dynasty through the next generation. This time, it is not Max himself making headlines, but his sister Victoria’s children, who have taken their first steps in competitive karting.
Victoria, who is the daughter of ex-Formula 1 driver Jos Verstappen and former racing driver Sophie Kumpen, recently shared the milestone moment with fans. On Instagram, she posted several heart-warming photos of her children Luka, Lio, and Hailey. Accompanying the pictures, Victoria wrote playfully: “No warm-up needed… straight to full gas! And Hailey’s not in the race (yet), but already the cutest little supporter.”
The post was quickly flooded with positive reactions from fans and family members. Jos Verstappen himself couldn’t resist commenting, jokingly remarking: “Oh no. It starts again.” His words hinted at the possibility that, just like him and his son, the Verstappen name may once again dominate international racing stages in the years to come.
Fans in the comments also couldn’t help but speculate on the idea of future Verstappens carrying the family banner into Formula 1. Some amused followers painted a picture of what the F1 grid could look like two decades from now, imagining multiple Verstappen siblings racing wheel-to-wheel against one another – and even against some familiar names.

The playful mention of Fernando Alonso was no coincidence.
