Lando Norris Opens Up About Relationship with Margarida Corceiro
McLaren Formula 1 driver Lando Norris has finally addressed speculation surrounding his love life, confirming his romance with Portuguese actress and influencer Margarida “Magui” Corceiro. The 24-year-old Brit had been linked with Corceiro since 2024, when the pair were first seen together at the Monte Carlo Masters tennis final. At the time, their closeness sparked rumors, though neither confirmed a relationship. Later that year, reports emerged claiming they had separated, with Norris staying silent and avoiding questions about his relationship status.
However, whispers of a reconciliation surfaced earlier this season when Corceiro appeared alongside Norris’ mother, Cisca, at the Monaco Grand Prix. The actress was photographed celebrating his dramatic victory that weekend, adding further fuel to the speculation. Just one race later in Barcelona, Formula 1’s official broadcast graphics confirmed the connection, listing Corceiro as Norris’ girlfriend during the event coverage. Since then, the couple has been spotted together on numerous occasions, appearing happy and affectionate in public.
Still, Norris had not publicly addressed the matter himself until a recent feature interview with Vogue. When asked directly about his relationship, the McLaren star acknowledged that things between him and Corceiro had become official only recently.
“We met a few years ago, but we were never really together until more recently,” Norris explained. He then shared what drew him to Corceiro, saying: “Everything. She’s someone I can very much be myself with. She’s down to earth, despite living quite a crazy life as well. It’s nice when we can both just rent a boat for the day or simply go home and relax together.”
The young couple have already been enjoying low-key moments away from the racetrack. Norris revealed that over the past few days, they had been binge-watching the TV series The Summer I Turned Pretty. Laughing, he added that one of his goals in their relationship is to try to spark Corceiro’s interest in golf—though so far, she is not a fan of the sport.
This marks Norris’ most open admission about his personal life since his previous relationship with Portuguese model Luísa Oliveira. That romance, however, had a darker side. The pair faced intense online scrutiny, with trolls subjecting them to hateful abuse and even death threats. When asked if Corceiro’s background as a social media personality better equips her to deal with the toxic side of fame, Norris remained cautious.
“I don’t think anyone can look at a bad comment from someone and move on like nothing’s ever happened,” he said. “You don’t want to see cruel things written about anyone. But she’s quite wise to all of it.”
Norris admitted that while negative online commentary still bothers him, he has learned to handle it better than in the past. “It affects me, but a lot less than it used to. I pay a lot less attention to it now,” he shared.
With his racing career on an upward trajectory and his personal life now publicly acknowledged, Norris seems to be balancing the challenges of fame with a newfound sense of stability. For fans, his openness about Corceiro marks a rare glimpse into the private world of one of Formula 1’s most popular young stars.
