Inside Lando Norris’ Joyous Title Celebrations With Girlfriend After Historic F1 Triumph
By Hugo Harvey
Lando Norris capped off the most defining day of his Formula 1 career with a night of emotional, exuberant and unforgettable celebrations, joined closely by his model girlfriend Magui Corceiro. The 26-year-old Brit sealed his maiden F1 world title after a tense Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, finishing third to secure the points he needed to finally clinch the championship he had been battling for all season.
Heading into the decisive race at Yas Marina Circuit, Norris held a slender 12-point lead over Max Verstappen, who was fiercely determined to snatch the title at the last possible moment. Verstappen started on pole and swept to victory with a typically assured performance, yet Norris’ own drive—calm, measured and calculated—was enough to protect his advantage and make his dream a reality.
The enormity of the moment hit Norris almost instantly. After crossing the finish line, the new world champion broke down in tears inside his cockpit, taking several deep breaths before thanking his parents over team radio. The emotional weight of the achievement became even more visible when he climbed out of the car and made his way through parc fermé in search of his mother and father, each embrace revealing just how much the journey to the top had meant to him.
Waiting for him next was Corceiro, who had watched the race from the McLaren garage. The Portuguese model hurried out the moment Norris arrived, throwing her arms around him in a long, heartfelt hug, followed by a kiss that captured the relief and triumph of the moment. The pair have had a relationship marked by periods of distance and reconnection, but on this night they moved as one—celebrating a chapter that seemed to belong to both of them.
Norris then re-joined the McLaren team for more exuberant festivities. Mechanics and engineers drenched him in champagne, leaving the champion laughing and spluttering under the spray. Cameras also captured him grimacing after taking a swig from a Monster Energy can—one that likely contained something stronger than the label suggested. When asked during the post-race press conference about what exactly he had been drinking, Norris smirked and said, “Hell no, it’s way more.”
Reflecting on the magnitude of the moment, he added, “This could be my only time celebrating a title. I hope it’s not—I’m confident it won’t be. But sitting here alone as champion… it’s a strange, lonely feeling.”
The night, however, was anything but lonely. Later, Norris and Corceiro walked hand-in-hand into the W Hotel, where the famed Amber Lounge hosted a special afterparty for F1 drivers, teams and celebrity guests. Inside, Norris appeared relaxed, exuberant, and ready to let loose after a pressure-filled season. Videos from the event showed him singing along loudly to Neil Diamond’s Sweet Caroline and Queen’s We Are the Champions—joined by teammates, friends and McLaren staff who had followed him through every high and low of the championship campaign.
Norris and Corceiro’s relationship, once described as “on and off,” appeared stronger than ever throughout the evening. In an interview with Vogue earlier in the year, Norris described her as “someone I can always be myself with.” He spoke fondly of their quiet moments together, adding, “She’s down to earth. Her life is crazy, mine is crazy, so it’s nice when we can rent a boat for a day or go home and just chill.”
As the sun rose over Abu Dhabi on Monday morning, Norris stood not only as Formula 1’s newest world champion, but as a man surrounded by the people who meant the most to him. It was a celebration of victory, of resilience, of partnership—and the beginning of a new chapter for one of the sport’s brightest stars.
