Lewis Hamilton Refuses to Address Kim Kardashian Romance Rumours as Bahrain Testing Begins

 

 

Lewis Hamilton has declined to comment on mounting speculation surrounding his rumored relationship with Kim Kardashian, choosing instead to keep the focus firmly on his Formula 1 commitments as Ferrari began pre-season testing in Bahrain.

 

The seven-time world champion was asked directly about the rumors during his first official F1 media appearance of 2026 on Wednesday, ahead of running in the Ferrari SF-26 at the Sakhir circuit. Hamilton’s response was brief and decisive.

 

“I don’t comment on those sorts of things, private life,” he said, as reported by GPblog.

 

The rumors first surfaced in early February after reports claimed Hamilton and Kardashian were seen together in London. While there was no photographic confirmation from the London meeting, the pair were later photographed arriving together at a hotel in Paris on Monday, February 2. That sighting intensified speculation, particularly given their long-standing acquaintance within fashion and celebrity circles.

 

The conversation surrounding their relationship reached new heights during Super Bowl Sunday on February 8. Hamilton and Kardashian were spotted sitting together during the NFL showdown between the New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks. Images from the event quickly circulated online, prompting widespread debate among fans across both motorsport and entertainment communities.

 

Despite the public attention, Hamilton has shown no intention of addressing the topic further. During Sky Sports’ coverage of Bahrain testing, veteran reporter Ted Kravitz revealed that he had considered asking the Ferrari driver about the rumors but ultimately decided against it.

 

“I was only going to ask if Kim was going to become a Tifosi like all Ferrari fans, but I chickened out,” Kravitz admitted on air.

 

Valtteri Bottas, Hamilton’s former Mercedes teammate, was present during the broadcast segment and responded to the situation with laughter, declining to add any comment of his own.

 

Hamilton and Kardashian have known each other for more than a decade, frequently crossing paths at high-profile fashion events, award ceremonies, and sporting occasions. However, until now, there had never been confirmed reports linking them romantically. In previous years, Hamilton was loosely rumored to have dated Kardashian’s sister, Kendall Jenner, though that speculation was never substantiated.

 

While the current rumors remain unconfirmed, Hamilton’s past comments about relationships and his racing career provide insight into his mindset. In July 2025, the British driver opened up about the challenges of maintaining a private life while competing at the highest level of motorsport.

 

Speaking to RTBF last year, Hamilton acknowledged how difficult it can be to balance Formula 1 with a serious relationship.

 

“Yes, it’s very complicated, especially in today’s world,” Hamilton said. “I see other drivers, and I wonder how they do it: some have children, are married, have girlfriends. I experienced this when I was in my twenties. I made a different choice: I decided to maximize the time I have here because it is shorter than you think. I don’t want to have any regrets, nor do I want to think that I could have given more.”

 

Hamilton’s most notable long-term relationship during his F1 career was with singer Nicole Scherzinger. The pair were reportedly in an on-and-off relationship for around seven years before officially parting ways in 2015. Since then, Hamilton has largely kept his personal life out of the spotlight, despite frequently being linked with various public figures.

 

The Ferrari driver emphasized in the same interview that his priority remains performance and preparation, especially as he enters what could be a defining chapter of his career.

 

“For the last ten years, I have focused on my performance. And when I retire, I can do whatever I want. I will be able to devote myself to other things without constraint. As long as I’m competing, I stay focused on my health, well-being, mental health, and riding technique,” he added.

 

On track, Hamilton faces one of the most critical seasons of his career. After Ferrari endured a disappointing 2025 campaign, questions remain about whether the 2026 challenger can return the Scuderia to championship contention. Hamilton’s move to Ferrari was viewed as a bold late-career gamble, and this season could determine how that chapter is ultimately judged.

 

Speculation has already begun about his long-term future in the sport. Should Ferrari fail to deliver a competitive package in 2026, some observers believe Hamilton could consider retirement rather than prolonging a rebuilding phase.

 

For now, however, Hamilton appears determined to keep the spotlight on racing rather than romance. As Bahrain testing continues and the new season approaches, the Briton’s message is clear: his private life will remain private, and his focus remains squarely on performance.

 

Whether the rumors fade or intensify in the coming weeks, Hamilton has drawn a firm boundary  one that suggests his pursuit of success with Ferrari remains his overriding priority.
