NEW DELHI: During the baseball winter meetings, the Detroit Tigers revealed a number of coaching staff changes for the 2024 season. A.J. Hinch’s new coaching team now includes Ryan Sienko as the catching coach, Joey Cora as the third base coach, Anthony Iapoce as the first base coach, and Lance Zawadzki as the assistant major league hitting coach.
Having served as the New York Mets’ third base coach for the previous two seasons, Joey Cora possesses a lot of coaching expertise. He was the infield coach for the Pittsburgh Pirates from 2017 until 2021 when he held the same role. Additionally, Cora served as a bench coach for the Chicago White Sox in 2012 and the Miami Marlins in 2012.The Detroit Tigers announced during the baseball winter meetings that they had made changes to their coaching staff for the 2024 season.
