Last weekend, past members of the New England Patriots convened for a Netflix special centered around Tom Brady, where they engaged in lighthearted roasting of their former quarterback.

Regarding the current team, Jerod Mayo, now the head coach of the Patriots and a former teammate of Brady’s, admitted during a press conference at Gillette Stadium, amid rookie minicamp, that he only briefly tuned into the highly popular program.

Initially denying watching it, Mayo quickly corrected himself, acknowledging that he did start but eventually opted to switch channels. He emphasized the importance of transparency and honesty, revealing his initial engagement with the show before deciding to move on.

Mayo expressed discomfort with the extent of the roasting aimed at former Patriots players, finding it excessive, leading him to opt out of finishing the special, including skipping Bill Belichick’s segment. Additionally, he mentioned that he has no plans to watch “The Dynasty” docuseries from Apple TV+, which delves into the team’s remarkable 20-year journey, marked by six championships, despite its mixed reviews.
