A VERY SAD AND BRUTAL NEWS: CLEMSON COACH MAY NOT PARTICIPATE IN 3-MATCHES DUE TO BRUTAL…….
Hired as a senior defensive analyst last spring, Conn helped Clemson’s coaching staff study opponents and devise defensive game plans but was not allowed to coach or recruit because of NCAA rules.
Now he can. Hired in January as Clemson’s safeties coach, Conn is excited to get back to his roots.
“The job I did last year, it was just as important of a role. … But I am excited about making the transition and getting back on the field and teaching,” Conn said.
Before joining Clemson’s staff last March, Conn was the head coach at Grayson High School in Loganville, Georgia, where he led the Rams to a state championship, seven region championships and 137 wins in 16 seasons.
Conn played defensive back at Alabama, where he was a teammate of Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney, and was a graduate assistant for the Crimson Tide before beginning his high school coaching career.
