Leeds United on the verge of losing… Read more

Leeds United is close to losing a key forward, with three Serie A clubs now in pursuit.

The 20-year-old forward had a strong 2023/24 season, scoring nine goals and providing three assists in 44 matches, helping Leeds secure a third-place finish in the Championship.

However, after failing to achieve promotion by losing 1-0 to Southampton in the playoff final, and following disciplinary issues from refusing to play at the start of the previous season, he is expected to seek a transfer this summer.

Gnonto has been linked with several Premier League clubs, including Newcastle United and Everton, according to TEAMtalk.

However, a return to Italy now seems likely, with Inter Live reporting that Genoa, Parma, and Venezia are interested.

A loan deal with an option to buy is considered the most probable outcome, with Parma and Venezia offering the best chance for regular play.

Leeds has already seen notable departures this summer, with Archie Gray, Luis Sinisterra, and Glen Kamara moving to Tottenham, Bournemouth, and Rennes, respectively.
