Journalist Alan Nixon claims on his Patreon page that “cash conscious” Everton might be unable to turn down a reported “big money” bid of £60 million for Jarrad Branthwaite.

Branthwaite is probably going to attract a lot of transfer interest. This season, the 21-year-old center defender has been a revelation for Everton.

While on loan at PSV Eindhoven in the Netherlands last season, the young defender made an impression. This season at Goodison Park, Branthwaite swiftly surpassed Michael Keane in the standings, building on that experience. Since then, he hasn’t turned back.

Branthwaite has put on some incredible displays, which has rewarded Sean Dyche for believing in the England under-21 international.

At the Merseyside club, Branthwaite is held in high regard. Those expectations for his future appear to be well-founded thus far.

But if Branthwaite draws enough transfer interest that the Toffees can no longer afford to ignore, the player’s outstanding performances might work against them.
