Everton are interested in Stuttgart striker to replace Calvert-Lewin.

Everton is a team that suffers from a lack of scoring opportunities. They had similar problems throughout the previous season and began this one with similar wastefulness.

This word differs significantly from the previous one, though, in that chances are at least being produced.

Thus, by rekindling their interest in Serhou Guirassy, perhaps there is room to strengthen their striking department even though it already has Beto and Dominic Calvert-Lewin in plenty.

Having been linked during the summer of 2022, they might now act on their previous interest given the Stuttgart striker’s explosive form and the revelation of his €20 million (£17 million) release clause.

Considering that his team only scored 34 goals in the previous season, Sean Dyche is certainly in need of something to offer in terms of team completion. The only team to score less is Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Considering how dominant he has been in his first eight league games, Guirassy would be the one to most definitely resolve these problems.

The 27-year-old striker has 14 goals in the Bundesliga from a projected goals total of 7.53, while the Merseyside team is struggling with just nine goals in the Premier League from an expected goals total of 17.66.

It would not take him long to render Calvert-Lewin obsolete if he moved to England and translated his assets as easily as he had done from France to Germany.

The Englishman has developed into a valuable asset for Everton and Dyche, but his injury problems have limited his scoring to only five and two goals over the last two whole league seasons.

Though he has started their last four games since returning to fitness, he is still unreliable until he can avoid serious injuries for an entire year.

Even if he can maintain his fitness, Guirassy’s goal scoring has never been as exceptional as it is right now. His best season as a Royal Blue actually occurred in 2020–21, when he scored 21 goals in all competitions.

After nine games, his prospective replacement has already come close to matching that total.

Sebastian Hoeneß, his manager, has praised him quickly, which is not surprising given that “we’re on a roll right now and up front we’ve got a striker in Serhou who’s putting everything away.”

If Dyche is the one to persuade him to try English football, it might be a huge victory that ends Everton’s season.
