When the Green Bay Packers play the Carolina Panthers on Sunday, they might be missing one of their best receivers.

Thankfully, they’ll have another one ready for the competition.Christian Watson is still dealing with a nagging hamstring strain, therefore the game has been labeled as doubtful for him.

Although he hasn’t been officially ruled out, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network said recently that he’s unlikely to suit up.

In spite of this, Dontayvion Wicks is anticipated to be available for the Packers despite his struggle with an ankle injury.

Although Wicks’ status has been questioned, it seems likely that he will recover in time for the Panthers game, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.

Given that Watson, 24, has been one of the Packers’ finest receivers thus far, his absence is undoubtedly a huge setback. Watson is third on the squad with 28 receptions for 422 yards and five touchdowns in the nine games he has played in this 2023 season.

With Watson out, Wicks, on the other hand, is more than capable of taking on a little bit more labor. Despite having just one touchdown this season, he is actually third on the squad in receiving yards (491), just behind Romeo Doubs and Jayden Reed.

In particular, if the Green Bay Packers hope to remain in the postseason picture, all players on the squad must be exceptionally focused in Week 16.

The team needs to step up and be focused now more than ever because Christian Watson is also out.
