A 22-year-old defender is wanted by Liverpool.
Goncalo Inacio, a Portuguese international defender, has been linked to Liverpool.
Liverpool reportedly dispatched scouts to watch the 22-year-old defender play for his country against Bosnia and Herzegovina after keeping an eye on him for a while, according to a report from 90 Minutes.
Liverpool scouts were present as Portugal defeated the hosts 5-0 on Monday night, and Inacio put on a strong performance. The 22-year-old made an assist in addition to playing strong defense.
It remains to be seen if Liverpool will decide to make a bid for the player in the coming months, but the Premier League club’s scouts are probably impressed with what they have seen.
The 22-year-old is a phenomenal talent who has a bright future ahead of him. He possesses all the qualities necessary to become a world-class defender. He has the versatility to play both left and right back, which could be a benefit for Liverpool in the upcoming seasons.
The Reds are in dire need of defensive reinforcements in the center. At the moment, the only dependable defenders at the club are Virgil van Dijk and Ibrahima Konate. The defensive unit needs to be strengthened, and Jurgen Klopp needs to look to recruit a quality player who can also play as a full-back. Inacio would be an excellent addition to replace players like Joel Matip.
