Liverpool target Kylian Mbappe talks about his future at the club level

With the January transfer window rapidly approaching, there is still a great deal of conjecture surrounding the future of PSG’s French sensation Kylian Mbappe.

Among the best and highest paid football players on the planet, the former Monaco player has been linked to Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, and of course Real Madrid.

Mbappe, though, continues to be reticent about his future, highlighting his wish to move the emphasis to issues that occur on the field rather than off it.

GFNF via football.london cited Mbappe’s recent interview with the French publication Telefoot, in which he declined to discuss the specifics of his transfer situation. What he said was as follows:

especially considering that I completed it in June and it consumed a significant portion of the international break. There will be time to discuss that, but I would prefer that we spend more time talking about the national team than me bringing up a pointless topic

.Can Mbappe be signed by the Reds?

The 24-year-old’s contract with PSG expires in 2024 (Transfermarkt). The Reds have a formidable attacking lineup led by players like Mohamed Salah, Diogo Jota, Luis Diaz, Darwin Nunez, and Cody Gakpo. While Mbappe would bring a lot to the table, he is definitely not worth spending so much money, especially at a time when Liverpool do not necessarily need attacking reinforcements.

The Reds may decide to focus on strengthening other squad members, like the midfield, during the next transfer window because they have a strong and well-balanced attacking group.

There is very little chance that Liverpool will sign Kylian Mbappe.
Even though Mbappe’s appeal cannot be denied, Liverpool’s priorities should continue to be preserving squad cohesion, strengthening vital positions, and guaranteeing long-term viability.
