A basketball league apparently made Caitlin Clark a huge offer, paying her $5 million to play in just ten games.

Caitlin Clark is poised to be selected as the top overall pick in the upcoming WNBA Draft in April. However, reports suggest that an alternative league led by hip-hop icon Ice Cube has presented a tempting offer to the standout player from Iowa.

Clark, a standout for the Hawkeyes, has emerged as a prominent figure in women’s college basketball in recent years. She propelled her team to the National Championship game last season and in the 2023-24 season, she solidified her status as the all-time leading scorer in collegiate basketball.

Her impressive statistics for the 2023 season include averaging 31.8 points, 7.3 rebounds, 8.8 assists, and 1.8 steals per game, with a 38% success rate from beyond the arc. Despite being named Player of the Year in 2022-23 and leading her team to another NCAA Tournament appearance this month, where they are expected to make a deep run, Clark has already announced her intention to enter the 2024 WNBA Draft.

While the Indiana Fever are likely to select her as the top pick, Clark understands that the immediate financial rewards in the professional league may not match her current earnings from name, image, and likeness (NIL) deals and sponsorships. Nonetheless, an unexpected offer from a competing league has emerged, promising to compensate Clark at a level befitting her superstar status.
