Hamilton’s STUNNING Mercedes exit as star makes shock podium appearance

The 2024 Formula 1 season concluded with a thrilling Abu Dhabi Grand Prix at the Yas Marina Circuit, delivering chaos, drama, and historic moments.

McLaren emerged as the standout team, clinching their first Constructors’ Championship since 1998.

Despite a controversial start where Max Verstappen collided with Oscar Piastri at Turn 1, Lando Norris powered through to secure the race victory, sealing McLaren’s remarkable season.

For Mercedes, the race marked the end of an era as Lewis Hamilton competed in his final outing for the team.

Starting from a challenging position after a difficult qualifying session involving a collision with a bollard, Hamilton displayed his signature Sunday prowess, finishing in P4.

Although he narrowly missed a podium finish, his performance was a testament to his skill and determination.

Post-race, Hamilton celebrated in style, performing burnouts and doughnuts under the floodlights.

This celebratory moment was pre-planned, with the FIA designating a special area on the grid for Hamilton to bid farewell to the Silver Arrows.

Hamilton’s teammate, George Russell, finished one spot behind in P5, capping off a solid effort for Mercedes in the final race of the season.

However, Russell surprised fans by making a podium appearance after the race—not for his racing performance but as part of the filming for the highly anticipated F1 movie.

The fictional podium featured Brad Pitt, playing the role of Sonny Hayes, on the top step, with Russell and Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc flanking him.

While the drivers might have preferred a real podium finish, their involvement in the movie added a unique twist to the weekend.

The Abu Dhabi finale was a fitting end to a memorable season, with McLaren’s resurgence, Hamilton’s farewell, and the intersection of Hollywood and F1 capturing fans’ imaginations.
