BRAKING: Germany’s most valuable player handed a five in EURO 2024 match ban due to….

The German national team has been handed a big blow

A football player in a regional league in Germany received a three-year ban on Thursday, and his team was suspended for six months, following an incident where he punched a referee who had just sent him off. The player, representing FSV Muenster, faces charges of assault and has been barred from further matches by the Hessian governing body after striking the 22-year-old referee during a game against TV Semd last month. The referee was rendered unconscious by the blow and required airlifting to a hospital.

FSV Muenster, based in western Germany, has been sanctioned with a six-month suspension from participating in matches and a fine of 500 euros ($553).

Theodor Greiner from the Hessian Football Association (HFV) expressed that such behavior has no place on a sports field and justified the severity of the three-year ban as the maximum penalty possible.
