Celtic are actively seeking to finalize several transfers before the current window closes, with Norwich striker Adam Idah likely to be their first major acquisition. Idah, who spent last season on loan at Celtic, appears to be on the verge of returning to the club permanently. Celtic have reportedly agreed on a transfer fee of around £8.5 million, with an additional £1 million in potential add-ons and a sell-on clause. The Irish forward was expected to arrive in Glasgow soon for a medical, with an official announcement anticipated imminently.

The addition of Idah would bolster Celtic’s attacking options, but it essentially returns the club to the same position as last season in terms of outfield players. So far this summer, Celtic have only brought in goalkeepers Kasper Schmeichel and Viljami Sinisalo, as well as Paulo Bernardo, another former loanee. Manager Brendan Rodgers, however, has expressed a desire for more quality signings, indicating last week that he was hopeful of securing “one or two others” beyond Idah. Rodgers is believed to be targeting reinforcements at left-back, centre-back, and possibly in midfield and attack.
