Christian Horner BLAST F1 Star, Reveals Verstappen’s…read more
Red Bull Racing team principal Christian Horner has publicly criticized former F1 World Champion Nico Rosberg for his calls to disqualify Max Verstappen following a controversial incident at the 2025 Spanish Grand Prix. Horner dismissed Rosberg’s remarks as sensationalist, emphasizing that Verstappen’s actions, while aggressive, were addressed appropriately by the race stewards.
The incident in question involved a collision between Verstappen and Mercedes driver George Russell during the closing laps of the race. Verstappen received a 10-second time penalty and three penalty points on his Super Licence, bringing his total to 11—just one point shy of an automatic race ban.
This development adds to the ongoing tensions within the Red Bull camp. Earlier in the season, Max Verstappen’s father, Jos Verstappen, expressed concerns about Horner’s leadership, suggesting that the team could “explode” if Horner remained in his position.
As the Formula 1 season progresses, all eyes will be on Verstappen’s performance and conduct, especially with the Canadian Grand Prix approaching. Any further infractions could lead to a race ban, significantly impacting his championship aspirations.
