F1 Announces Landmark Partnership with Atlassian as Williams’ Title Sponsor
Formula 1 has unveiled a significant development ahead of the 2025 season: Australian software company Atlassian will become the title sponsor of the Williams Racing team. This multi-year agreement marks the most substantial commercial deal in Williams’ 48-year history, leading to the team’s rebranding as Atlassian Williams Racing.
The partnership aims to enhance Williams’ performance by integrating Atlassian’s collaboration and productivity tools into the team’s operations. Atlassian, known for products like Jira and Trello, will serve as Williams’ Official Technology Partner, focusing on improving teamwork and efficiency across the organization. The Atlassian logo will feature prominently on the FW47 car, driver suits, and team apparel throughout the 2025 season.
Team Principal James Vowles expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, stating, “Attracting a title partnership of this size and significance is a momentous day in our team’s illustrious history and a major milestone in our comeback transformation.”
Atlassian CEO Mike Cannon-Brookes highlighted the synergy between the two organizations, noting, “Formula 1 is the ultimate team sport… Atlassian shares Williams’ deep belief in the power of teamwork.”
This announcement follows a series of strategic partnerships for Williams, including deals with Santander and Super Group, as the team seeks to bolster its competitiveness on the grid.
The 2025 season will also see the debut of the FW47 car, driven by Alex Albon and new signing Carlos Sainz. The car’s official livery, featuring Atlassian branding, will be unveiled at the F1 season launch event at London’s O2 Arena on February 18.
With these developments, Williams aims to leverage technological innovation and strategic partnerships to return to the forefront of Formula 1 racing.
