Ferrari Announces Hamilton Replacement Ahead Monaco Grand Prix due to…read more

In a surprising turn of events just days before the 2025 Monaco Grand Prix, Scuderia Ferrari has officially announced a driver replacement in its Formula 1 lineup. The team, which currently fields seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton alongside Charles Leclerc, confirmed the change in a press release early this morning.

While the details remain limited, Ferrari stated that the decision was made due to “unexpected circumstances” affecting one of its primary drivers. Although the team did not explicitly name which driver is stepping aside, speculation is already circulating in the paddock that Charles Leclerc may be the one affected, potentially due to health concerns or a short-term absence.

In response, Ferrari will promote reserve driver Oliver Bearman to the main lineup for the Monaco Grand Prix. The 19-year-old British talent, who made his Formula 1 debut earlier this year with Haas, has impressed the Ferrari camp with his maturity and pace. Bearman is a member of the Ferrari Driver Academy and has long been considered a future star within the team’s ranks.

Team Principal Frédéric Vasseur commented on the decision: “We have full confidence in Oliver’s abilities. Monaco is a demanding track, but we believe he is ready for the challenge. This is a great opportunity for him to gain experience at the highest level.”

This marks Bearman’s first official start with Ferrari, and it comes at one of the most prestigious and challenging circuits on the Formula 1 calendar. The tight, twisty streets of Monte Carlo will put the young driver’s skill and composure to the test in front of a global audience.

As for the absent driver, Ferrari has assured fans that the situation is temporary and that a full return is expected in the coming races. Whether this change will impact Ferrari’s ongoing battle in the constructors’ championship remains to be seen.

With high stakes and even higher expectations, all eyes will be on Monaco this weekend as Oliver Bearman steps into the scarlet red Ferrari for the first time in his young career.
