BREAKING: Ferrari Faces Fan Backlash as Calls Grow for Hamilton’s SACK After…read more

Lewis Hamilton’s highly anticipated debut season with Ferrari has taken a dramatic turn, as growing fan backlash and a wave of criticism have sparked fresh calls for his removal from the team  just six races into the 2025 Formula 1 campaign.

A recent  fan poll has dealt a major blow to Hamilton’s image, naming the seven-time world champion the “most disappointing figure” of the season so far. Garnering 31.80% of the votes in the “negative surprises” category — the highest of any individual or team listed — Hamilton now finds himself at the center of a firestorm in what was meant to be a triumphant chapter of his career.

The vote follows a turbulent start to life in red for the former Mercedes driver, who joined Ferrari in a headline-making move that sent shockwaves through the F1 world last year. But while expectations were high, the results have been far from inspiring. Apart from a sprint race win in China, Hamilton has struggled to get comfortable with the SF-25, falling well short of his teammate Charles Leclerc in both qualifying and race pace.

Tensions boiled over in Saudi Arabia, where Hamilton finished a distant 31 seconds behind Leclerc — prompting concern within the team and frustration from fans. Post-race, Hamilton admitted he was baffled by his lack of performance and uncertain about how to improve.

The fan vote isn’t the only pressure point. Reports have surfaced of growing unease within Ferrari’s leadership, with some members allegedly questioning the decision to bring Hamilton onboard. While no official statement has been made, insiders suggest that top figures within the team are facing mounting demands — both from within Maranello and among the fanbase — to consider drastic changes if results don’t improve soon.

Trailing Hamilton in the poll were Liam Lawson (19.34%) — whose brief stint with Red Bull ended controversially — and Red Bull Racing itself (16.61%), which has come under fire for internal instability and strategic missteps.

Hamilton’s struggles have also reignited long-standing criticisms of Ferrari’s operational shortcomings. While Leclerc has managed to extract competitive results from the SF-25, the car continues to suffer from inconsistency, and the team’s race-day decisions have once again come under scrutiny.

Despite the outcry, Hamilton remains focused on turning things around. Known for his resilience, the Briton will be under intense pressure to deliver improved results in the upcoming European rounds  starting with the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix in Imola.

Whether that will be enough to silence the growing chorus of critics remains to be seen. But one thing is clear: the honeymoon phase at Ferrari is over, and Hamilton’s legacy is now riding on a swift and dramatic turnaround.
