Ferrari silent about issues Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton nursed

Ferrari drivers Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton reportedly contended with undisclosed car issues during the closing stages of the Spanish Grand Prix, yet the team has refrained from providing specific details.

Leclerc secured a third-place finish, trailing the McLaren duo of Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris, while Hamilton, despite starting from fifth on the grid, concluded the race in sixth position after being overtaken by Sauber’s Nico Hulkenberg.

Team Principal Fred Vasseur acknowledged that Hamilton experienced a problem in the final stint of the race but declined to elaborate on the nature of the issue. He emphasized that drawing conclusions from the driver’s initial comments might lead to unnecessary speculation. Hamilton, reflecting on his performance, described the day as “terrible” and attributed the challenges to his own performance, expressing uncertainty about what went wrong.

Leclerc, on the other hand, managed to maintain a competitive pace despite the unspecified issues, securing his third podium finish of the season. The team’s decision to withhold details about the problems has led to speculation about potential reliability concerns within the Ferrari camp.

As the season progresses, both drivers and the team will be looking to address these challenges to enhance performance and consistency on the track.
