BREAKING: FIA CONFIRMS Double Disqualification for Lewis Hamilton Following T…read more

In a major blow to Lewis Hamilton’s 2025 Formula 1 campaign, the FIA has officially confirmed a double disqualification for the seven-time world champion, citing technical and procedural infringements during the latest Grand Prix weekend.

The announcement, made earlier today, has sent shockwaves across the F1 paddock and fan base, marking one of the most dramatic disciplinary actions of the season.

According to the FIA’s statement, Hamilton’s car failed post-race inspections due to excessive floor plank wear, breaching the technical regulations. In addition, the governing body identified a procedural violation during qualifying, compounding the penalty and resulting in the disqualification of both his qualifying result and main race finish.

The ruling strips Hamilton of all points earned over the weekend and significantly dents Ferrari’s standing in the Constructors’ Championship. It also deals a severe setback to Hamilton’s pursuit of an elusive eighth world title, in what has already been a turbulent debut season with Ferrari following his departure from Mercedes.

Ferrari Team Principal Fred Vasseur addressed the decision in a brief statement: “This is obviously disappointing for Lewis and the team. We accept the FIA’s findings and will conduct a full internal review to understand how these issues occurred.”

The FIA clarified that no appeal has been lodged as of yet, but noted that the appeal window remains open should Ferrari choose to contest the decision.

This latest controversy adds further tension to an already heated title race and raises fresh scrutiny over technical compliance and team oversight. Fans and analysts alike now watch closely to see how both Hamilton and Ferrari will respond in the coming races.
