FIA has officially announced penalty decision concerning Red Bull Racing’s S…read more.

In a dramatic turn of events at the Miami Grand Prix, the FIA has officially announced its penalty decision concerning Red Bull Racing’s star driver following an on-track incident that stirred controversy among fans and teams alike.

The incident, which occurred during the latter stages of the race, saw the Red Bull driver involved in a heated battle with a rival, resulting in contact that many believed crossed the line of fair racing. After an extensive post-race review, FIA stewards concluded that the Red Bull driver was at fault for causing avoidable contact, issuing a five-second time penalty and two penalty points on his super license.

This decision has significant implications for both the driver’s championship standings and Red Bull’s fight for the constructors’ title. While the driver had originally crossed the finish line in second place, the time penalty has now dropped him down to fifth, costing the team valuable points.

Red Bull Racing has expressed disappointment with the verdict, stating in a press release that they plan to review the stewards’ decision and consider filing an appeal. Team principal Christian Horner commented, “We respect the FIA’s authority but feel the incident was a typical racing moment and the penalty is harsh.”

Meanwhile, rival teams have largely supported the ruling, with some suggesting that stricter enforcement of racing rules is necessary to maintain fairness and safety on track.

As the F1 season heats up, all eyes will now turn to the next round to see how Red Bull and their star driver bounce back from this setback.
