FIA release names Red Bull Verstappen team-mate for 2025

The FIA has released the official entry list for the 2025 Formula 1 season, shedding light on the lineups of various teams.

Despite widespread speculation about Sergio Perez’s future at Red Bull following a disappointing 2024 campaign, he remains listed as Max Verstappen’s teammate for next year.

However, this entry list is provisional and based on existing contracts, meaning changes could occur before the season begins in March 2025.

Perez’s performance throughout 2024 was widely criticized, with poor results contributing to Red Bull’s slip to third place in the constructors’ standings.

While Verstappen secured his fourth consecutive drivers’ championship after a victory in Las Vegas, Perez’s struggles, including a DNF at the Abu Dhabi finale, hampered the team’s overall success.

Red Bull team principal Christian Horner previously hinted at discussions regarding Perez’s future, casting doubt on his retention for 2025.

Despite Perez’s current inclusion, rumors persist that Red Bull could replace him with Liam Lawson, a standout from their junior program.

Lawson, who is currently Tsunoda’s teammate in Red Bull’s junior team, is widely tipped to step up to the main team.

The entry list also reveals that Red Bull’s junior team will rebrand from Visa Cash App RB to “Racing Bulls” in 2025.

Yuki Tsunoda is confirmed in their lineup, while his teammate’s slot is marked as “TBC,” adding further weight to speculation about Lawson’s promotion to the senior Red Bull team.

While the list reflects current contracts, it remains subject to revisions before the Australian Grand Prix opener, leaving the F1 paddock to speculate whether Perez will remain in his seat or if Red Bull will opt for a fresh pairing alongside Verstappen.
