Hamilton Confirms Improved Communication with Ferrari Race Engineer A… read more

Lewis Hamilton has acknowledged progress in his working relationship with Ferrari race engineer Riccardo Adami, following earlier tensions highlighted during the Miami Grand Prix.

During the Miami race, Hamilton expressed frustration over delayed team decisions, notably when he was held behind teammate Charles Leclerc despite being on faster tyres. His sarcastic radio comment, suggesting the team could “have a tea break,” underscored his dissatisfaction with the communication at the time.

However, the recent Emilia Romagna Grand Prix at Imola marked a turning point. Hamilton delivered a strong performance, finishing fourth after starting 12th, and noted a significant improvement in radio communications with Adami. He described their exchanges as “calm,” indicating a developing synergy between driver and engineer.

Reflecting on the earlier issues, Hamilton explained that his comments in Miami were made in the heat of the moment and were more sarcastic than angry. He emphasized that such frustrations are part of the competitive nature of racing and that he remains committed to building a strong partnership with his team.

As the season progresses, Hamilton and Ferrari aim to continue strengthening their collaboration, with hopes of translating improved communication into consistent on-track success.
