On June 8, 2025, legendary Iron Maiden drummer Nicko McBrain made a special in-store appearance at Drum One, his drum shop located in Trafford Park, Manchester. The event drew hundreds of enthusiastic fans who gathered to meet the rock icon, take photos, get autographs, and share their appreciation for his decades-long contribution to heavy metal.
McBrain, who officially retired from touring with Iron Maiden at the end of 2024 following their final show of the “Future Past World Tour” in Brazil, looked energetic and in good spirits as he greeted fans from across the UK and beyond. Despite no longer touring, McBrain continues to play a major role in the drumming community through his shop, Drum One, which he opened in 2018.
The atmosphere at the event was electric yet intimate. Attendees described it as a “once-in-a-lifetime experience,” praising McBrain for his down-to-earth nature and willingness to engage with everyone. “He’s a true legend, and to see him still connecting with fans like this means everything,” said one visitor.
Photos and videos from the appearance quickly spread across social media, showing McBrain interacting with fans, checking out new drum kits, and even sharing stories from his Iron Maiden days. The clips highlight the warmth and humor fans have come to love about him.
Though Iron Maiden is currently on their Run for Your Lives World Tour with a new touring drummer, McBrain remains involved with the band’s studio projects and continues to support young drummers and musicians.
His recent appearance in Manchester is a clear sign that while he may have stepped off the global stage, Nicko McBrain is far from done leaving his mark on the world of music.
