ABU DHABI: Charles Leclerc has expressed his excitement and anticipation over Lewis Hamilton’s impending arrival at Ferrari, calling the prospect “crazy.” The seven-time world champion is set to end his remarkable 12-year career with Mercedes after this weekend’s Abu Dhabi Grand Prix and will join Ferrari for the 2025 Formula 1 season.
Speaking at the Yas Marina Circuit on Thursday, Leclerc acknowledged the magnitude of having Hamilton as a teammate. “With Lewis, it’s going to be crazy because he’s such a talented driver,” Leclerc said in an interview with AFP. “He’s the most successful driver in Formula One history, so it’ll be a huge challenge to compete with him in the same car.
