Lego Challenge Shows Hamilton and Leclerc Can Work Together Despite Ferrari Frustrations

Despite a rocky start to the 2025 Formula 1 season and mounting frustrations within the Ferrari camp, recent footage from the Miami Grand Prix weekend suggests Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc are still capable of working together harmoniously. The duo took part in a light-hearted Lego race challenge ahead of the main event, providing a rare moment of levity amid ongoing performance concerns.

Ferrari’s struggles continued in Florida, with both drivers finishing well off the pace. Leclerc managed seventh place, with Hamilton just behind in eighth. Both expressed their dissatisfaction with the team’s race strategy, with frustrations boiling over in post-race interviews. Despite the disappointing results and public expressions of discontent, the mood was significantly lighter in the lead-up to the race, where the pair demonstrated camaraderie during a promotional Lego activity.

In a clip shared on social media platform X, Hamilton and Leclerc could be seen joking with an event organiser. Hamilton playfully asked, “Can we get extra power? Is there a qualifying mode?”, to which Leclerc chimed in with, “Can we get more power? Can you tell us something? At least once during the weekend.” The exchange showed both drivers laughing and engaging positively, offering a glimpse of the mutual respect and teamwork that Ferrari will be hoping to rely on going forward.

This moment will likely come as a relief to Ferrari management, who are under pressure to resolve internal issues and turn their season around. The Scuderia made headlines with the high-profile signing of seven-time world champion Hamilton, but so far the results have not matched the hype. With just one top-five finish in six races, Hamilton’s debut season with Ferrari has been underwhelming. The 40-year-old has made his displeasure known, fueling speculation that he might not complete his contract if performance doesn’t improve.

Leclerc, on the other hand, had entered the season with high hopes, building on a strong finish to the previous year. But his championship aspirations have all but faded, with the Monegasque driver currently sitting fifth in the standings and Ferrari trailing McLaren by more than 150 points in the constructors’ championship.

Nonetheless, the playful Lego challenge showed that, despite their frustrations, both Hamilton and Leclerc remain united on a personal level. Their light-hearted interaction could serve as a foundation for improved collaboration on the track—something Ferrari desperately needs if they are to salvage their season.

While performance issues remain a serious concern, the display of teamwork between the drivers offers a glimmer of hope. With many races still ahead, Ferrari’s leadership will be counting on moments like these to help build a more cohesive and competitive team dynamic.
